Qualified applicant must have minimum of high school or general equivalency diploma (GED). Post-secondary education is preferred.
The successful candidate will work under the directive of the Special Education teacher to which he/she is assigned and will follow all IEP goals and EA guidelines set forth by Wilson County Schools. An ancillary EA works specifically with one (1) student throughout the school day.
This is a 180-day position with insurance and retirement benefits.
Pay rate will be determined by education completed, experience, and placement on the Hourly Classified Salary Schedule. For applicants with less than a 2-year degree (or coursework equivalent), the appropriate grade is Grade 1, and a starting rate of no less than $14.05 per hour. For those with at least 2-year degree (or coursework equivalent), the appropriate grade is Grade 3, and a starting rate of no less than $14.36 per hour.
