JOB GOAL

Plan and facilitate the middle school summer learning program. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS Preference will be given to certified applicants.

REPORTS TO         School Counseling Coordinator 

FLSA STATUS        Non Exempt

SCHEDULE

 

Training Dates: 

  • May 1-May 31, 2024 

 

Summer Sessions:

  • June 3-June 7, 2024, Monday-Friday 
  • Site facilitators will be expected to commit to the entire summer program

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prior to Summer Camps:

  • Schedule and plan summer learning activities 
  • Set-up the site in coordination with the building administration
  • Communicate with community partners involved in activities leading up to camp dates
  • Communicate with students attending the Summer Camp at your location
  • Other duties as assigned

 

During the Summer Camps:

  • Ensure health protocols are implemented to maintain student and staff safety
  • Facilitate summer learning activities 
  • Monitor site locations to maintain clean and safe environment
  • Communicate student needs to McKinney-Vento Program Staff
  • Communicate with necessary stakeholders as necessary and required (parents, teachers, students, transportation, ATC staff, Food Service, etc.)
  • Ensure attendance protocols are followed
  • Monitor arrival, dismissal, breakfast and lunch
  • Ensure staffing coverage is in place for staff absences
  • Maintain accurate records as required for the Summer Learning Camps
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job may require lifting or carrying of objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: pushing and/or pulling, stooping and/or kneeling, reaching and/or handling, talking, hearing, seeing, and climbing.
